EngMerch is a DBA of CaliBlogs LLC, a California-based company. This Privacy Policy applies to the EngMerch Coming Soon website and launch notification list.
Information We Collect
If you choose to join the EngMerch launch list, we collect the email address you provide. We may also maintain basic information associated with your signup, such as the date and time of signup and the version of the consent presented when you joined.
If you use the Contact page, we collect the name you provide (if any), your email address, the reason you selected, the message you send, and the date and time of submission. We store contact messages in a separate private table in this site's WordPress database so site administrators can review and respond.
Like most websites, our hosting and security systems may also automatically generate limited technical information, such as server logs, IP addresses, browser information, and security events necessary to operate and protect the website.
Contact Form Security
The Contact form uses a self-hosted image CAPTCHA. You enter the characters shown in an image, and this website checks the answer before accepting a message. No external CAPTCHA provider receives your message or email address. This verification does not set cookies or track you across sites. Each image code expires after five minutes and can be attempted only once. Temporary image files and answer hashes are stored privately on this server and removed after an attempt or by expiry cleanup.
How We Use Your Email
If you join the launch list, your email address is collected for one primary purpose: to let you know when the EngMerch storefront launches. If you submit the Contact form, we use your email address to review and respond to your message.
We may also use your information as reasonably necessary to operate the launch list, prevent abuse, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and respond to privacy requests.
We will not sell your email address.
Sharing and Service Providers
We may use service providers to host and operate the website, store information, maintain security, or deliver launch emails. These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide those services.
We do not currently send contact-form messages or launch-list email addresses to advertising or analytics platforms. Contact form submissions are stored for site administrators to review; no notification emails or third-party contact service are connected to the form.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain launch-list information for as long as reasonably necessary to notify subscribers about the EngMerch launch and manage the list. We retain contact messages for as long as reasonably necessary to review and respond to them. We may keep either type of information longer if required for legal or security purposes. You may ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your Choices
Joining the launch list is completely optional.
You may request that we remove your email address from the launch list or delete information associated with a contact message through the Contact page. Select “Privacy request” and include enough information for us to locate your request.
Any launch or marketing email we send will include an appropriate way to unsubscribe from future communications.
Cookies and Analytics
EngMerch uses Google Analytics on its production website to measure visitor activity. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar technologies to distinguish visits and report site-usage statistics. For details about Google's handling of Analytics data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
The website, WordPress, hosting infrastructure, or security systems may use technical cookies or similar technologies when necessary to operate, administer, or protect the site.
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies beyond Google Analytics, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
EngMerch will evolve as we move from the Coming Soon stage to a full storefront. We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, services, and data practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page.
